Macintosh IIvi
Desktops1992Uncommon
The IIvi was Apple's entry-level 68030 tower in 1992 — clocked at 16 MHz to keep costs down, a decision that made it noticeably slower than its sibling the IIvx. Critics were unkind. Apple's own engineers called the clock speed limitation a mistake. It served budget-constrained offices that needed a modular Mac but couldn't afford the IIci or the Quadra line.
