Split Keyboard

Apple's first attempt at an ergonomic keyboard — a split design with a wrist rest and a separately sold numeric keypad, intended to reduce repetitive strain injury at a time when RSI was becoming a recognised workplace issue. The Adjustable Keyboard was ahead of its time in concept but behind in execution; its membrane switches were a significant step down from the Extended Keyboard it nominally supplemented. A curiosity of 1993 Apple design.
