Power Macintosh 7600

The Power Mac 7500 and 7600 added a CPU daughter card upgrade path — the processor was on a removable card that could be replaced with a faster G3 card without changing the entire machine. This made them uniquely upgradeable, and a dedicated upgrade market served 7500 and 7600 owners well into the late 1990s. The 7600 at 132–200 MHz was the most capable tower Apple offered to mid-range buyers in 1996.
