AppleCD 600i
Accessories1994Uncommon
Apple's first quad-speed (600 KB/s) internal CD-ROM drive, introduced as multimedia software began demanding faster seek times and sustained read rates. Bundled with many Power Mac 7x00 and 8100 configurations. The 4× speed improvement over the 300i Plus was substantial for QuickTime video playback and large game installs of the mid-1990s.
